I’m not sure who allowed me to do this, but I moved to San Francisco without a job. Without knowing anyone. Without ever being here before. The latter two situations have turned out fine – I’ve met great people and enjoyed exploring this completely foreign (to me) city. But not having a full time job has been really tough. The job searching process is hard enough, let alone 3,000 miles away from my support system. And I have to say as much as I love walking around, going from cafe to bakery to park to boutique, I need a little purpose in my life. But alas, an amazing opportunity has come along recently and today, on my two month anniversary of being a California resident, I have an interview for a dream job. But along with pre-interview jitters (What will they ask me?! Will they like me?! Do they care that I have perpetually sweaty palms?!) comes the age old question of what to wear on interrogation day. So many factors play a part in deciding what to wear to an interview but regardless of weather, office culture, or personal preference, I don’t think you can ever go wrong with a classic pencil skirt. And I absolutely love the way they look paired with a peplum top. Its trendy but conservative, put together but versatile. I chose this skirt and plan to wear it with a white top similar to this. Fingers crossed that this outfit (plus my skills and qualifications of course) help me land this position!
