This past weekend was Outside Lands in San Francisco – a huge, three day music festival held in Golden Gate Park. My new roommate and her friends were going and graciously invited me along. On Friday the headliner was Paul McCartney so I really couldn’t pass up the opportunity. The festival itself was quite the experience and half of the fun was just being in the atmosphere of it all. Amazing fashion, music, and food everywhere you looked. Paul was definitely the most amazing performer (so much energy for a 70 year old) but some other highlights were Band of Horses, the National (who brought out Bob Weir from the Grateful Dead), Pretty Lights, and D’Angelo. I’ve had quite the welcome-to-San-Francisco haven’t I?
